Excerpt from an article I wrote referring to this trip – “When Vicki and I first married we did not have a telephone as we could not afford one. However, as you know at lot has happened in telephone technology since 1966. This really became apparent on a recent trip we made to southwest Colorado. We were headed up a ‘5’ rated (extremely hazardous) four wheel drive road over Imogene Pass above Telluride with three other vehicles when we stopped for a break at the Smuggler Union Mine.…the next thing I knew there were at least three people talking on cell phones to various people all over the country (the only reason they weren’t talking in the vehicles is you have to use both hands to hang on).

And all the women that were wise hearted did spin with their hands, and brought that which they had spun, both of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine linen. And all the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun goats' hair. And the rulers brought onyx stones, and stones to be set, for the ephod, and for the breastplate; And spice, and oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense. The children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the LORD, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the LORD had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses. We are going to start a new trip today. This was a trip we did last fall when we met up with my cousin and his wife in Ouray, Colorado for some four wheeling. His vehicle “Zuke” is on the left and mine “Ruby” is on the right. We are getting ready to leave the highway and head for Ironton Park.
