Luke chapter 23 (NIV)
23 But with loud shouts they insistently demanded that he be crucified, and their shouts prevailed. 24 So Pilate decided to grant their demand. 25 He released the man who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, the one they asked for, and surrendered Jesus to their will.
26 As they led him away, they seized ________ from Cyrene, who was on his way in from the country, and put the cross on him and made him carry it behind Jesus.

Again...it’s hard to believe these photos were shot the day before the snow photos on Pikes Peak...This wildflower is called “Golden Banner”. Actually we are on the old railroad bed of The Florence and Cripple Creek (narrow gauge) Railroad that runs up Phantom Canyon just west of Pikes Peak, Colorado. The railroad was started in 1893 and abandoned in the early 1900’s.

Luke chapter 23 (NIV)
13 Pilate called together the chief priests, the rulers and the people, 14 and said to them, "You brought me this man as one who was inciting the people to rebellion. Okay....We’ll take a break from the snow...and head up Phantom Canyon (on the back side of Pikes Peak) and head for the old mining towns of Cripple Creek and Victor. Believe it or not these pictures were taken the day before those we just saw of Pikes Peak...some amazing differences in a lower elevation... :0)

Luke chapter 23 (NIV)
8 When Herod saw Jesus, he was greatly pleased, because for a long time he had been wanting to see him. From what he had heard about him, he hoped to see him perform some miracle. 9 He plied him with many questions, but Jesus gave him no answer. 10 The chief priests and the teachers of the law were standing there, vehemently accusing him. 11 Then Herod and his soldiers ridiculed and mocked him. Dressing him in an elegant robe, they sent him back to Pilate. 12 That day Herod and Pilate became _________ -before this they had been enemies.
