Walsh made a mega fortune in mining in this area. Later on his daughter was one of the owners of the Hope Diamond.

All I had with me (at the park :0) was my long telephoto for getting some shots of deer so I couldn't get as big of panoramas as I would have liked. Nonetheless I shot a bunch of photos.
