Headed down from Mt. Antero, looking towards the southeast..That is the road in front of us. We lived in Poncha Springs for a short time in the late 50’s when I was in the seventh grade. During that time my dad had his 1939 Chevy pickup up to the mine….that is when they were actively working the mine and the road was not as rough as it is today.
