En route to the summit of Mt. McClellan we next pass the site of the old ghost town of Waldorf, Colorado, the town was burnt to the ground in the early 1970’s so nothing remains today. However, I did get some black and white photos of the town in 1971. The building that is second from the left end was the Post Office which was said to be at an elevation of 11,666 feet…the highest in the United States.
