Our next destination this year was Imogene Pass which goes from Telluride to Ouray. Here are some of the Tom Boy (town and mine) Ruins... A sign at Tomboy says, “The Tomboy Mine and Savage Basin Camp was located 3,000 feet above Telluride. The settlement contained a school, store, stables and the miner’s cabins. The Tomboy started producing quantities of gold ore in 1894 and 1897 the mine was sold. A daily stage ran along this shelf road carrying passengers and mail.”
