Photo for 07/30/2009
Okay…time for a change…my son, grandson and I just got back from a trip to Colorado so for the next month or so we will be looking at some of those photos. Some of the photos will be older and some brand new as I try to cover the places we visited. We started with the old railroad town of Como, Colorado. This town has a special fascination for me since my grandfather was a blacksmith in the roundhouse here. The rails were pulled out in about 1939 but this old concrete railroad cross buck is still standing today. If you look closely you can see the faded weathering that says “RAILROAD CROSSING – LOOK OUT FOR THE CARS”.
