Photo for 09/25/2006

Here is engine #40 pulling into the Silver Plume Station. This was shot a few years ago when the operations of the Georgetown Loop Railroad was under a different contractor that had a number of old steam engines. Today the railroad is under a new contractor and many of the engines we photographed in 2003 have now been moved to other locations. Back in the early 1900’s this is where the Argentine Central tracks started from en route to the top of Mt. McClellan.
